The stage was designed as a modification of topography, where the land was cut and pushed together to make an arc. Which was then modified to create roofing for artists. The stage is bidirectional but it has a preferred direction of viewing from the multifunctional square space. This preferred direction can be seen in the definition surface.
Construction of the stage is based on a diagrid which was created from definition surface isocurves. The construction was welded from bended structure steel plates into 7 parts. Those were transported onto site and welded together to form the final shape. The construction carries itself, hanging stage equipment and roofing.
Roofing consists of 173 vacuum molded translucent panels. Shape of the panel is based on pushing the bottle through food stretch foil. This is based on the location of the city where the culture of enjoying good beer, whine and plum brandy meets. The panels are at night illuminated by RGB lights which allow animations, so the stage promotes art happening under it or it can even become art by itself.
